CRAIG R. MILES has practiced intellectual property law since 1999. He founded CR MILES P.C. in 2003 to focus on international and domestic patent, trademark and copyright law.  In his practice as an intellectual property attorney he has prepared, filed and successfully prosecuted hundreds of patent and trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as, internationally by way of the Patent Cooperation Treaty and Paris Convention. 

Prior to his practice as an intellectual property attorney, he was a research scientist in the biomolecular sciences at the crossroads of chemical, biological, physical and computational sciences focusing on the molecular understanding of cellular function.  He was a founder of Cytel Corporation in La Jolla, California which developed research methods to assess molecular recognition and regulation.  As an Assistant Professor at Colorado State University he was the Director of facilities for the synthesis and assessment of peptide, protein and nucleic acid structures.

He currently specializes in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in mechanical, chemical, and biomolecular technologies.

CHERYL L. ANDERSON, has practiced intellectual property law for more than 10 years. During that time, she has managed copyright, trademark, trade secret and licensing work; case assessment, client representation, dispute resolution, settlement negotiations and litigation.

Cheryl also holds a Master of Science degree in human nutrition. She has served in various clinical and teaching positions with, among others, the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, Yale-New Haven Medical Center, Duke University Medical Center, The Stamford Hospital, University of Wisconson Hospitals and Clinics, Northern Illinois University, and Northern Colorado Medical Center.

In the mid 1990s, Cheryl served with the Larimer County Human Resources Department where she handled employee relations and assisted in developing risk management policies and procedures.

She currently specializes in Trademark matters brand development.

ALAN F. BLAKLEY has litigated complex cases including national class actions since 1991.  He is admitted to practice in several federal courts and has tried numerous cases around the country.  Additionally, he is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the Federal Circuit, the Court of Federal Claims as well as eight federal courts of appeals.  Prior cases include suits against the United States government based on the Takings Clause, Administrative Law, Tax Withholding, and Constitutional Rights; and, cases involving private corporations for issues such as securities fraud, insurance bad faith, contract violations, intellectual property. 
 
In addition to his private practice of law, he has taught as a full time law professor – teaching federal civil procedure, evidence, contracts, real property and trial practice.  He is a frequent speaker at continuing education programs, trains federal judges in electronic evidence issues working with The Federal Judicial Center, and trains new lawyers in trial skills through the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.  A prolific writer, he has written seven books focusing on litigation topics and the use of electronic information in litigation.

He currently specializes in litigation in federal court and methods to manage electronic information to limit costs and future problems.
